Thanks for the well detailed info. Funnily enough I was reading about it in Sur in a bar, yesterday, and thought I’d look in ‘inMalaga today’ just to check if I had understood it all correctly. Please look yourself because I think you might need to alter some details – timings, route etc. because of all the road works around town. Oh, and we can all join in the paella as it is laid on for the Romeros and the Townspeople.

The only event I can think of in September is “La Romería del Cristo de las Agonías” on the second weekend of the month and I am sure details will appear on the blog nearer the time.

We will be back in alhaurin on friday 28th august please advise of any local events till 29th september cant wait to get back and hope our stay is longer than last time.
children and grandchildren will be joining us for part of our stay any contributions would be gratefully accepted!!
please tell Diego and Francisco to stock up on Larios

We were there.
Sorry that you didn’t see other Brit faces. Could be one or several reasons. One is that some of us have learned to blend in by attending with their Spanish neighbours, another is some might have actually been involved in the whole process (taking in the religious services as well!) or have found other vantage spots more to their liking.

Another problem is that some Brits belong to “English” groupings such as TAPAS whose “events” often coincide with the home grown pueblo ones.

You are right, though, about some finding La Vida del Pueblo too much…I wonder why they stay here?

Keep up the good work in providing information.

WHAT CONFUSION?
Bernie is a liverpool supporter, so he gave Diego, who is a Real Madrid supporter, a Liverpool shirt with his name on!
Bernie has a Real Madrid shirt with his name on and wanted to be photographed with Diego.
We had the first photo with our own shirts, then we changed shirts to show our names on the wrong shirts.
How can this be confusing unless you have had too much sun and copious ammounts of Larios and tonica.
You really have to think outside the box sometimes.
If you are still confused dont reply, then i wont know, or if you do reply, then i will know and in my next comment i will try to clarify the situation in more simple language!
Must close now to avoid more confusion and have a large Larios y tonica with lots of ice and lemon
